MIA HERMANSSON

Swedish middleweight Mia Hermansson started her carrier in LUGI Judo.
She won silver at the Grand Prix in Zagreb and bronze in Budapest. In 2016 she started with bronze at the Grand Prix of Havana U63kg. She won bronze at the European Open in Minsk in 2017 and captured a bronze medal at the Grand Prix in Zagreb in 2017.

SOPHIE COX

Brittish Sophie Cox won four European medals between 2003-2011 and seven national titles. Sophie Cox was the first-ever girl to play rugby at Wembley in 1993 when the English Schools Rugby League lifted its ban on females. She was 11 years old at the time! She is Head coach of Shuhari Judo Club and Kendal Judo Performance Centre.

JOAKIM DVÄRBY

Swedish Joakim Dvärby won a bronze medal 2014 in Qingdao. He won bronze in 2015 in Zagreb, Baku and Ulaanbaatar U90kg. He was Swedish champion in 2011. Dvärby won European U23 bronze in 2011. He took a bronze medal at the Grand Prix in Zagreb U100kg and bronze at the Grand Slam in Abu Dhabi in 2016. He won a bronze medal at the Grand Prix in Hohhot in 2017. Dvärby won silver at the Grand Prix The Hague in 2017.

GABRIEL BENGTSSON

Judoka Gabriel Bengtsson of Sweden competed at Olympic Games and World and European Championships. Gabriel “Gabbe” Bengtsson won two World Cups in Rotterdam in 2000 and 2002. He is multiple Swedish champion.

MIKE LIPTROT

Kendal Judo Club head coach Mike Liptrot has been recognised for his great service to the Olympic sport with double honour. A statement read: “Mike Liptrot has been inspirational in the judo world as a member of Kendal Judo Club for 42 years helping to develop the Kendal Dojo and bringing the sport’s brightest talents from around the globe to the town.”

TOMMY MACIAS

Swedish Tommy Macias won the Grand Prix Antalya and Cancun in 2018. He took the Grand Slam of Abu Dhabi in 2016 and took bronze at the Grand Slam Tyumen in 2016. He won silver at the Grand Prix in Zagreb in 2016 and 2017. He won bronze at the Grand Prix in Düsseldorf in 2017. He took bronze at the European Championships in Warsaw in 2017 and in Tel Aviv in 2018. He took a bronze medal at the IJF Masters in St. Petersburg and bronze in Osaka in 2018.

NEIL ECKERSLEY

Brittish Neil Eckersley is the 1984 Olympic bronze medallist. He won two bronze European medals and the British title in 1985, all U60kg. He is 7th Dan. He is currently living in Stavanger (NOR).

SERGIO DOMENECH GARCIA

Spanish judoka Sergio Domenech took four Spanish titles in three different weight categories. In 1998 he won the Tournoi de Paris U81kg and in 1999 the Dutch Open. With Liberty Oradea he won the European Club Cup in 1999.
